Some 65% of the world’s GDP is set to be digitalised by 2022, propelled by the pandemic, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). Research predicts that direct digital transformation investments will total $6.8 trillion (€5.62 trillion) between 2020 and 2023.
Connectivity is the foundation of digitalisation for all sectors, but operators need to transform themselves in order to meet their customers’ needs. This includes many sectors that dwarf telecoms, such as healthcare, which is worth an estimated $8.5 trillion a year, five times more than telecoms.
This conference looks at aspects of the network operators’ own efforts and what they are – or will be – able to offer customers beyond basic connectivity.
